DIY Light Up Antique Heater

I'm always on the hunt for antiques of almost any kind. When they don't cost an arm and a leg is just an added bonus. I came across this heater at a local primitive store and instantly fell in love!

I used a simple Sage/ Victorian green craft paint with a small paint brush so all the little brush strokes were visible. During painting I discovered the original brand emblem was covered up as well as the warning plate and uncovering it from the previous blue ducky paint color was pretty difficult, but so worth it.
After I finished painting, I felt like it hadn't reached its full potential. The heating mechanism was missing upon purchase so it would never heat a house again, but I felt there was still some way to improve it. So I added some Christmas lights. They're fixed in the heater with some craft wire twisted around some of the spaces on the outside and the top.

The finished product!
