I recently got a fireplace mantel (scroll down) that I had temporarily delivered to the veterinary hospital I work at, that was fun! I also restored an old record player console that’s in pristine working condition! It never feels like Fall here in Florida, the only real indicator is pumpkin spice is back.
I never change my porch decor. Just decorate it with different flowers and things for the season. This is no different, just more pumpkins!
I really don’t like orange as a decor color. It’s bright and really only goes with blue when referring to the Florida Gators. Neutral Fall is really appealing to me! Lots or earthy tones that go with any style, especially mid century. My “R” pumpkin is so sun faded it doesn’t even look orange anymore, I was a little nervous about setting it up because I thought it would stand out too much.
My entryway table is pretty neglected. It's mostly where all the left over decor item go. I have a lot of different mid century pieces on it that really go together and I never know what to put on the bottom.
In the early evening the setting sunlight shines in my house and makes a triangular pattern on this wall in my living room. It's my favorite time of the day. Most days I miss it because I'm at work. Maybe with the time change I'll get ti see it by the time I come home.
Now that I have a fireplace again, I don’t have to put all my holiday decor on my tv stand. Which is new if you noticed! It’s an old Zenith High Fidelity record player that works! I plan to blog about it later..
