Top 10 Favorite Wedding Moments

My husband and I have been legally married for over a year from a courthouse wedding we had with just our immediate families. We had our "real wedding" with our family and friends just a couple months ago and are so glad we did!

Here are my top 10 favorite moments with more than just 10 pictures:

1. The Scenery
Although nothing was old or antique, everything was most defiantly beautiful from the arbor to the center pieces nothing could have been better.

Something special and unique we did was a sand joining. My husband's favorite color is red and mine is green. The Christmas colors didn't bother us because we were legally married so close to Christmas. We poured the sand into the jar (pictured later) to represent the coming together of two people.

The center pieces are of actual comic book covers from wedding special editions. On the head table sat the Green Arrow/ Black Canary wedding because The Emerald Archer is my hub's favorite.

2. Getting Ready and The Pre-Pictures

3. The Ceremony

4. The Photos After
The serious pictures are great but these are my favorites. They express our true nature.

5. Our First Dance
To bring you all into the honest corner, this is actually the first time in our almost 4 years together that we have danced with each other. We were supposed to learn how to dance as a couple at the Marine Corps Ball a few weeks earlier but my husband fell ill (not due to alcohol) and we had to leave as soon as the ceremony was finished. We didn't even get to eat. All I wanted was a piece of cake, and that's all I'm going to say about it.

6. The Best Mas & Maid of Honor Speeches and the Champagne Toast

6. The Throwing of the Bouquet and Garter

The Cake Cutting/ Smashing

9. The Shenanigans and Dancing

We were serenaded the song "Stars" from Les Miserables by our officiant and one of our groomsmen. This was decided at our rehearsal dinner.

10. The End
This was one of the best days of my life by far, but the coming of the end was much appreciated. The planning, hassle of the trip for NC to FL separately, the exhaustion of the day in general was all worth it at the end of the night.
We received a compliment by many actually that I couldn't be more flattered of and more proud of. We were told we look and act like a couple who has been married for decades. There is a certain ease towards each other about us that makes us look so comfortable with each other. I love that about us and that's one of the things we love about each other.
