Colder Weather has hit Eastern North Carolina! The time as unfortunately come where I need to start taking showers at night in stead of in the morning and I need to start wearing more clothes to bed. I also lied in my last blog post...
I said I wouldn't start decorating for Christmas until Dec. 1st. I guess I gave into cyber peer pressure and was really excited about decorating I just couldn't wait! But, like my husband said last year I'm still not allowed to decorate the outside until then and I'm glad he has that rule for me or it would probably already be done.
Our entryway table got a chilly makeover to match the 30 and 40 degree weather by being transformed into a Hot Chocolate and S'mores Bar!
I made the chalkboard yesterday with chalkboard paint, The tins are conveniently 2/3 Smores related. The black ties them into to the chalkboard and back drop more and covers up the fact that one of them was originally for cough drops.
I found a place for all of my Christmas tins finally! Last year they just seem out of place. You can see in my Christmas Home Tour from last year in our house on base. The galvanized bin I just bought for my laundry room and has already been sacrificed as seasonal decor. The Christmas tree shaped night light I found recently in the cabinet where all the light bulbs are stored. They must belong to our landlord and I'm glad they left them!
